Independently owned and operated, the Borrego Springs Motel offers clean, inexpensive accommodations to the nature lover and is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Bird watchers, wildflower enthusiasts, star gazers, hiker, off-roaders, and small groups who want the privacy and intimacy of a small, eight unit motel to share life's adventures will treasure their experience at the Borrego Springs Motel.
Accommodations are basic. All rooms have microwaves, mini-refrigerators and coffee makers. The private bathrooms feature tiled showers with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Hairdryers are available upon request. Seven of the rooms each feature a queen bed. A couple of queen rooms are designated pet rooms for those who travel with Fido or Fifi. There is one room furnished with twin beds. This twin room has an interior connecting door to the queen room next door. Floors are commercial vinyl tile. Park just outside your room.
Additionally, all rooms feature overhead fans with lights, individually controlled air conditioners and heaters. For your reading pleasure, each night stand has a reading lamp. All rooms are accessed by keypads so that if Robin is out & about or has already gone to bed, you are allowed direct access to your room. There are tables & chairs just outside your room as well as on the private end patio. Enjoy cooling off in our 8 foot deep saltwater pool! After dark, enjoy the dark night sky or build a bonfire!
With the 72 roof-mounted solar panels, all of the energy needs of the property are met. Surprisingly, this was the first motel in Borrego Springs that derived its power from the sun!
The motel was built in 1947 and still retains the flavor of the day although the rooms have all been refurbished to be clean and modern. On-site manager, Robin, is your host.
